Carrie grew up on the island of Oahu in Hawaii. As far back as she can remember, she’s been drawing spaces. At seven, her dad bought her a Crayola drafting kit, complete with little triangles and after every sleepover, she would come back and draft her friends’ houses. Carrie went to the Rhode Island School of Design where she continued clacking her triangles around, dreaming and scheming beautiful spaces. Part of what she loves about architecture is that it can’t be done in a void; it thrives in the comradery and collaboration of a good team.
When not at work, Carrie enjoys cultivating the chaos of native plants and flowers through gardening, navigating its constant changes in contrast to the stability of the architecture around it.
