The Clubhouse at Domaine Serene
Located in the hills outside of Dundee, in the heart of Oregon’s wine region, the Domaine Serene winery was built in 2001 and at the time was not intended to be open to the public. Over time, the quality of the wine drew visitors and a small tasting room was opened in 2005. In order to provide additional hospitality space, the winery is now planning a new clubhouse and Waterleaf is thrilled to be a part of the design team on this exciting legacy project. Expected to open in 2017, the 34,000 square foot clubhouse will include several wine tasting experiences, ranging from a vaulted public tasting room to exclusive wine club member areas and an underground cave as well as wine storage, catering kitchens, and administrative offices. The design takes cues from the existing winery to extend the campus feel of the property. The location was carefully sited to overlook the surrounding vineyards and offer expansive views from Mount Hood to the east and the coastal range to the west.
