If Sophia hadn’t fallen in love with architecture, she would have pursued archaeology, studying old Mayan temples in Mexico and simplistic stone structures in Nepal’s Himalayas. It’s no surprise that she loves adventure and loves to travel. For Sophia, architecture combines several very different things—art, engineering, logic, and mastery of craft. Originally from the beautiful city of Stuttgart, Germany, Sophia enjoys exploring different cultures—she studied in Mexico, backpacked through Asia, traveled throughout the United States and later decided to return to work here in Oregon. She gravitates towards sustainable design and energy-efficient structures.
