Amaterra is a reflection of a love for Oregon wine and an appreciation for the region’s beauty and bounty. Perched in Portland’s West Hills, its great expanse and stunning views will be a destination for Oregon wine tasting. The winery architecture features a tasting room, in combination with dining and indoor/outdoor event spaces, including an outdoor event lawn, where guests can attend concerts, performances, weddings, family gatherings, community celebrations and business meetings.

The state-of-the-art gravity-flow winery, takes advantage of position in the landscape and elevation change enabling the gentlest handling of fruit while maintaining desired structure and delicate aromatics. An elevated crush deck supplies grapes to the mobile fermentation deck, stacked above the barrel cellars.  The adjacent vineyards supply fruit for the 10,000 cases of wine annual wine production. This winery architecture mirrors the forested West Hills, with building shapes and materials reflecting the agricultural history of the Swede Hill location.
