This winery and tasting room for Domaine Roy et fils showcases refined architecture through clean symmetrical lines and the use of natural materials. The overall focus maintains an elegant simplicity that encompasses the surrounding natural environment with dramatic panoramic views of the Dundee Hills, Yamhill Valley, and the Coast Range. The use of natural elements such as reclaimed wood from an old Eastern Oregon barn combined with a corrugated metal roof that will patina with age creates a simple yet elegant design. The production and  fermentation spaces, barrel cellar, and lab are located on a lower level tempered by the earth on three sides. The tasting rooms, kitchen, and offices are stacked above, allowing on-grade access from the visitor parking. The strong geometrical lines of the building and site design echo the geometrical ordering of the adjacent vineyard landscape.
