Waterleaf's design for Shea Wine Cellars' 5,500-case winery in Newberg, Oregon features one story of production, an exterior crush pad, and a second story for office and storage space. The vaulted fermentation room is designed with wood trusses; clerestory windows allow for natural light and ventilation. The barrel room is backfilled with earth, helping to maintain constant cellar temperatures.
