Known around Waterleaf as the “code guy,” Bill's curiosity leads to a nuanced understanding of technical detail and engineering principles, which, when combined with his warm and clear communication style, enable him to translate complex technical information into understandable terms. His eyes light up when talking about historic renovation and universal design, a variety of work that unites his love of sustainability and technical finesse.
Bill is passionate about volunteering his expertise in service to the community. He presently serves on the Board of Directors for the Northwest Regional Reentry Center and the City of Portland Building Code Board of Appeals (the “Big Board”). Bill has previously served on the City of Gresham Planning Commission (Chair) and the City of Gresham Design Commission.
