Mt. Hood Kiwanis camp is important to campers, families, and people who serve them. Despite being a camp for people with developmental disabilities there is a lack of capacity and accessibility in some of their facilities. The camp has big new plans to thrive in the future and a vision where all people who want to attend camp will have the opportunity in the safest, modern, and most fully accessible facilities possible. Waterleaf is proud to assist with their vision and assist them with universal design. Plans for a new dormitory are carefully designed to blend with the existing lodge and surrounding forest and include state of the art accessibility allowing for the safe movement of campers into bunks, inclusive access to common areas, and restrooms that are welcome to all.
