Mt. Hood Kiwanis Camp is vital resource for children and adults with disabilities, their families, and the people who serve them. Dedicated to providing outdoor camping experience for all, the organization seeks to upgrade their facilities to better serve and accommodate their campers. The camp has big plans to thrive in the future with a vision where all people who want to attend camp will have the opportunity in the safest, modern, and most fully accessible facilities possible. Waterleaf is proud to be the Architect and designer to help them with their vision with universal design through a warm and welcoming experience. Plans for the new dormitory are carefully crafted to blend with the existing historic Laurel Lodge and surrounding forest and include state of the art accessibility allowing for the safe movement of campers into bunks, inclusive access to common areas, and restrooms that are welcome to all.
